The chatter of silverware being sorted and the distant roar of the motor cycle are the background sounds as I blog. I have been in Ubud, Bali for two weeks now. I am staying in the city sharing a apartment with my girlfriend Jodi.  I have been the student, the tourist, the wise one, the shaman and the observer.  I am sitting in the “Kafe”, which is two doors down from the apartment.  I have visited the Kafe almost daily and it has become my home kitchen.  They have nurtured me with a comfortable place to sit, hot lemon ginger tea and Internet connection.  The strangers that walk through the door seem like friends from a distant life, as we share a smile.  Tomorrow I move to “my own place”.
